Getting Started

Overview > Portal Navigation > Getting Started

The Getting Started section of our jXchange-SOAP portal is designed to help consumers understand the basics of working with Jack Henry’s SOAP APIs.

Development

Commonly Used APIs

Visit the Commonly Used APIs page for a curated list of frequently accessed APIs. While not exhaustive, this list offers a helpful starting point for building solutions with jXchange-SOAP. Each API includes:

  • A brief use case
  • A link to its detailed documentation
  • The WSDL/XSD container where it resides

You can find the latest WSDL/XSD contracts on our Documentation page. Look for files starting with TPG_R202.zip.

Development Using SOAP

The Development Using SOAP page introduces the structure and key components of our XML SOAP APIs. Highlights include:

Environment Access: Details on XML OAuth security and required access values. jXchangeHdr: Essential for routing XML requests correctly. Multi-Provider Testing: Guidance on testing across multiple providers. Process Flow Diagram: A visual overview of basic banking core functions, such as creating customer records and opening accounts.

Development Using REST-Legacy

This section is provided for reference only. Please note that we are not accepting new subscriptions for REST-Legacy APIs at this time.

Error Types

The Error Types page outlines the three main categories of errors you may encounter:

  • Provider errors
  • Integration errors
  • Communication errors

Each type includes examples to help you identify and resolve issues. For deeper insights into handling provider errors, visit our jXchange Error Handling page.

Fintech jXchange Requirements and Readiness

Before a Fintech solution can be deployed in a bank’s environment, our Developer Relations team conducts an Integration Readiness Check. The Fintech jXchange Requirements and Readiness page outlines the criteria and expectations for this process.

Fintech Integration Phases

The Fintech Integration Phases page provides a step-by-step guide for Fintechs integrating with jXchange-SOAP. Each phase includes:

  • A brief description
  • A general timeline to support project planning

This roadmap helps Fintechs navigate from initial engagement with the Fintech Integration Network (FIN) to full deployment within a bank’s environment.

Glossary

The Glossary page defines commonly used terms and acronyms within the jXchange-SOAP ecosystem, helping you better understand the language and context of our APIs and providers.
